Thanks! One of the reasons I decided to begin this practice was because I really wanted to see how my sermons would be different. Sermons are things I always approach critically; I listen to them with the expectation that I'm going to disagree with things and that that is a good thing (if nothing else, it helps me to refine what I myself think). I see this sort of as a logical extrapolation of that: a further development of alternate perspectives.

This particular sermon was written in some part as a response to a sermon I heard the week before; my evening church is rooted in part in the Wesleyan holiness tradition, and can sometimes fall (IMNSHO) into the trap of anti-politicalness described above, a position I can only make sense of in the context of a particular pre-millenialist sort of eschatology.
